I have never been a “skinny” person, and I have always struggled with my weight.
As a child, I would have never considered myself the ‘athletic type’, but I did enjoy the occasional sporting activity. As I made my way into my 20s, I did exercise occasionally, but I didn’t have the best eating habits. I also (like every other person my age) liked to party, and smoke cigarettes.
In my late 30s, my husband and I decided to start a family. This decision led to me quitting smoking, which ended up being one of the best things I ever did for myself and family. Although this was a pivotal event in my life, my major turning point really didn’t take place until I turned “the BIG 40”. Seeing myself in photos that were taken of me at my 40th Birthday party really shocked me. I realized I needed to make some significant shifts in my life, or I would be at risk of not being around for my family. The stress from working long days, into the late hours, had become my routine. I also wasn’t eating a balanced diet, or exercising on a regular basis. Something had to change. This was when I started taking the necessary steps to take better care of myself. I started a nutritional eating program, joined a gym and began my journey to a healthier lifestyle.
When I turned 50, I decided that I needed to do something to push myself out of my comfort zone, so I entered a local fitness competition. To my surprise, I placed 2nd in the Master's category, and I even went on to compete in 4 more competitions! I thoroughly enjoyed the discipline of training, as well as meeting all the wonderful, strong and supportive women that accompanied me in each competition. Going through this process is really what ended up fueling one of my dreams of becoming a personal trainer/coach/mentor, so after a 30 year career in the corporate world, I took a huge leap and quit my job to pursue my dream.
I was now in my early 50s, and while I had found a great deal of success in what I was already doing; my passion for helping people achieve their own goals was pulling me towards a brighter future. This was when I realized that coaching women needed to be my main focus in life. So here I was (in mid-life), starting my own journey towards a new career path as a Certified Personal Trainer, Life Coach, and NLP Master Practitioner - and what an adventure it has been!
I love coaching women and seeing them transform into better versions of themselves.
While working in the corporate world, one recurring theme I kept seeing over and over again, was when women were able to master the right mindset, and break through their own self-imposed barriers changed their lives. I also noticed that it wasn’t always easy for women to find accessible ways to reconnect with themselves. Being overworked, stressed-out, ‘running on empty’, and getting lost along the way, had somehow become their new normal. I knew this first-hand because I had been there too. I also knew there had to be a better way to live. This “better way” includes a belief:
Women can begin to get outside their comfort zones and achieve their goals
Women can begin to realize that they need time to take care of themselves before they can care for others
Women can begin to gain confidence and move through obstacles in their life to find more joy
Women can begin to realize that pausing to enjoy the little things in life will re-energize them
Women can feel empowered
I am inspired by women who are ready to discover their real passions, experience more joy and satisfaction on a continual basis. Getting through life's transitions (and tough spots) with grace, strength, and ease is possible - starting today!

I was tired and worn out and had lost passion for my current career. I wanted something more out of my life, so I took a leap of faith and made a change. It was like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders and I could breathe again. It wasn’t easy making the change as all my negative beliefs and thoughts popped up, however, I liked this lighter feeling and I knew I had made the right decision.

I was born and raised in Hamilton, Ontario, and currently live in Mississauga, Ontario
HOW I HAVE FUN
I love to play games, including good old-fashioned board games, cards and even puzzles. I love to cook, host dinner parties and game nights. I love connecting with people as these connections truly feed my soul.
WHAT I VALUE MOST
Definitely my health and my family. I have been married for over 33 years, and I have two children (a son and a daughter). Our family also includes our 12 pound Maltese named Zoe.
