A Morning Walk and a Moment of Clarity
I was out walking this morning and realized… I wasn’t walking in a straight line.
I wasn’t in a rush. Just kind of in my own head, following the path, weaving a bit. At one point, I shifted right… then drifted left… then stepped around something in my way 💩.
And it made me pause for a second.
What We Don’t Question When We Walk
On a walk, we don’t expect our steps to line up perfectly. We adjust without thinking. We move over, shift course, avoid obstacles. It’s just part of how we get where we’re going.
So why do we expect everything else in life to be so straight and predictable?
The Real Shape of Progress
Especially when we’re working on our wellness, or trying to build new habits, or come back to routines we’ve fallen away from, it’s easy to think progress should look clean and consistent. But it usually doesn’t.
It zigs. It stalls. It loops back around. Sometimes it moves forward in small, barely noticeable steps.
It doesn’t mean something’s wrong. It’s just how life tends to move.
Still Moving Forward
So if things haven’t felt perfectly straight or perfectly on track lately, maybe this is the track. And like on that walk… you’re still going.
