I want to share a personal story with you. During the pandemic, I found myself reaching for a glass of wine every evening before dinner. It started as a way to unwind, but soon it became a daily ritual. As someone deeply invested in women's health and wellness, I realized this routine wasn't in line with the healthy lifestyle I advocate. However, the real challenge wasn't the wine itself; it was the underlying habit of seeking ways to 'numb out' from daily stress. This could be anything – a sweet treat, hours in front of the TV, or losing time on social media. It's these kinds of habits that subtly impact our health and well-being. 

These habits, while comforting at first, can become significant obstacles in our path to better health. They might have served a purpose initially, providing a temporary escape from stress or discomfort. However, when these habits become a regular escape, they can hinder our progress toward our health goals.

Recognizing these habits is the first step in reducing their power over you. I advocate for a gradual approach to change. It's not about eliminating all your obstacles at once – that can be overwhelming and unrealistic. Instead, it's about tackling these habits one by one. By addressing them gradually, you build momentum and move closer to achieving your health goals.
